The Lawrence Symposium
October 12 and 13th, 2012
The Lawrence Art Center put on another wonderful symposium. The trouble I had was wanting to be in two places at once...well, three places 'cause Phoenix Fired Art was sponsoring Bede Clark on the 13th. I did choose to watch Chartiy Woodard-Davis and Josh DeWeese...it was an awesome experience watching these two wonderful potters and to see how diverse their styles are when making similar forms.

My latest firings...
I must admit that I developed this line after a wonderful workshop at the Phoenix Fired Art in Joplin, MO. It was given by Paul Pfrehm (pronouced Frame). He provided wonderful insight into the carvings on the pots.
Now, it seems that each vessel is more than just a vessel...they are canvases to decorate.
I just love learning new things!
